Final Countdown
AARRGGHHH BLAARRRGHGGHGGHHH! It's finals week. And I am feeling very final about that. Unfortunately in this go-round of school I've figured out that studying actually works, so I spend a lot of time doing that before major exams. It was a lot simpler back in the day when I just went in, flying by the seat of my pants, totally winging it, and coming out with acceptable but not stellar grades. Now I'm all, "Let's see how much I can fuck up the curve for everyone else." When I hear everyone grumbling about the goddamn 93 percent who ruined it for everyone else I feel secretly smug and also slightly in accord with Salman Rushdie. He got lots of hate. But anyway, I've spent the majority of the past two days with my butt planted in my kitchen booth, biochemistry detritus spread out and pencils in hair. For those of you who spend the past weekend at my house (loved it so much, thanks all) it looks pretty much exactly the same as when you left. I dove straight in. Damn you, ADD meds and persevering example setting roommates from long ago. I'm all kinds of effective with studying now.
