Foods I love in particular, and I'm not discriminating between the gourmet and the Whiskey Tango, are:
Pizza when I'm in New York
Black beans and rice
Cookies
Meatballs, sandwich or solitary
Really awesome fruit
My own Reubens (those of you who have had them know. Witness for Reuben!)
Sushi
Butternut or Hubbard squash
Toast
Also I love delicious drinks because they make me feel special and like I'm having a treat. Probably because I was Kool-Aid deprived as a child, which was hard since I grew up in a neighborhood full of rainbow-hued mustaches. Not rainbow in a P-Flag supporting way either, just evidence of dye and sugar junkies. Because if there were gays in my neighborhood, it would have created such a tear in the moral fabric that lives could never be woven together again. But that is not focusing on the subject at hand (drinks), that is social commentary on life in a small midwestern town.
Hot cider, the very orchard-y fresh kind
Loose leaf tea from the fancy and expensive tea store at the mall
Diet Dr. Pepper
Water from Roots restaurant--they put cucumber slices in it and it feels very cleansing
Of course I'm thinking of all this because of the cutting weight aspect of my life right now. It's all I've got--memories and fantasies of meals and drinks past. It's kind of like being in prison, without the ass raping.
